Council is seeking to appoint a senior executive who has significant Local Government management experience and can demonstrate strategic leadership capabilities, with strong financial and statutory management skills.  The successful applicant will also be able to show a sensitivity and understanding of living and working within a small community in a remote location.

 

This is one of the most interesting and challenging Local Government positions in W.A. requiring a mix of strong leadership, good management, effective public relations and practical application to sometimes difficult or unusual situations and to arrive at new solutions to advance projects.

 

The position is offered as a three to five year performance based contract with an attractive salary package valued at $142,608 to $176,808 per annum, including a base salary of $90,000 to $125,000 per annum, the private use of a motor vehicle, superannuation, accommodation (shire house), communication allowance, professional development and subscriptions. Council will meet reasonable relocation expenses.
