Local Government Workplace Solutions welcomes Alasdair Malloch-Smith to the newly created Employee Relations Advisor position.

Alasdair has worked previously as an Industrial Inspector with the WA Government’s Department of Commerce investigating breaches of State and Federal employment laws.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce (majoring in industrial relations, human resource management and management) and is half way through a master’s degree in employee relations and human resources.  He has tutored in employee relations at the University of WA.

Alasdair also has experience in the construction industry and can operate a loader and drive a truck!

The Employee Relations Advisor’s role will be involved in providing employee relations advocacy, negotiation and advisory support to clients as well as supporting the Employee Relations Manager with research on sector wide policy and strategy.
