Local Government Industry Award Interpretation Training Still Available (10/2010)
It is important any employees that need to understand award conditions attend training on it and Local Government Workplace Solutions have scheduled two additional training courses based on the Local Government Award 2010.
The courses cover:
- The award, agreements and facilitative provisions;
- Categories of employment;
- Hours of Work;
- Salaries and Wages;
- Leave provisions; and
- National Employment Standards
Employees involved with payroll, human resources, management and supervision of employees should consider attending a course to enhance their ability to effectively interpret and apply the conditions of the Award.
Award Interpretation for Payroll Officers (Local Government Industry Award 2010)
This course has been designed to provide an understanding and assistance in the interpretation of employee entitlements and conditions contained within the national Local Government Industry Award 2010. The course will also cover the conditions of the Local Government (Long Services Leave) Regulations.

This unit provides much of the information involved in Award Interpretation for Payroll Officers course with the key difference of giving an understanding of the flexibility offered under the new Local Government Industry Award 2010.
