Local Government Workplace Solutions is now offering an additional new service where clients can access the expertise of a skilled negotiator to represent them in enterprise agreement negotiations.

We understand that the negotiation of enterprise agreements is often a challenging task that only occurs every few years.  Clients often report that they do not always have the opportunity to develop the same level of expertise as the unions’ bargaining agents across the table.  Local Government Workplace Solutions envisages that clients have the potential to achieve better agreements with the services of a skilled negotiator.

With over 130 clients, Local Government Workplace Solutions does not currently have the staff resources to attend agreement negotiations personally, so we have contracted an external negotiator for this service.

This is an additional service available outside the annual subscription but would take advantage of the template documents, research and expertise of Local Government Workplace Solutions.  The negotiator, whilst having Local Government experience, will be provided with an appropriate ‘Workplace Solutions’ induction as well as ongoing support in relation to the industry and client history.  We will monitor the progress of all contracted negotiations.

Local Government Workplace Solutions have entered into a contract with Rebecca Ridgway to offer this service.  Rebecca is an experienced human resources and industrial relations professional with a strong background in agreement negotiations and performance management.  Rebecca has successfully negotiated and implemented several enterprise agreements, designed and implemented a new performance appraisal process and managed all aspects of the human resources function.  She has several years’ experience in Local Government and has an excellent understanding of the nuances and processes involved within Local Government.
